I remember when pulse use to be a great app....
LinkedIn ruined what used to be my go-to app for years. This new app doesnt work well anymore and is just trying to force feed LinkedIn services to you. What a shame to see this "update" - update hasnt fixed the problem
Pulse was great app until LinkedIn "redesigned" it. Its one more useles garbage now, but who cares. Problem is that they took great app from us - the old Pulse.
Regardless of the time of day, whenever I go to pulse the content is fresh and what Im interested in. Ive made some great connections with great people as well. Pulse is my source for online networking and great content.
I open the Pulse app almost every day to catch up on what is happening in my industry. It is easy to use and makes sharing across social networks a breeze.
Linked In destroys everything they touch. Bring back the real Pulse. This piece of junk is a waste of space. Why would anyone want this trash? Im suspicious of any app that has a significant number of one-star reviews with the occasional five-stars, probably plants in the hope they will fool someone into using this useless application.
Its like something made for me. It knows exactly what I want. Great app
This review is coming late. But I made the switch to another news app after LinkedIn changed pulse. Pulse was my go-to. Pulse aggregated every single publisher and made it so easy and seamless to read. But for some odd reason LinkedIn decided to remove all of that progress. I dont get it. Well I use feedly now. Its definitely not a pulse (old version) but its a million times better than this version of pulse. See ya!
This was a fantastic app that allowed me to curate my news. After the changes any and all reasons I had for using it have vanished. Terrible.
Used to live original app. It kept getting worse until LinkedIn decided to change the UI completely. Cant stand this app now. The original grid layout was awesome. Why did you have to ruin it? Update: i found Heartfeed app which is how former Pulse app used to be. Its perfect and serves the need.
Thanks LinkedIn---you achieved greatness in the "worst app destruction of all time" category! Congrats. Wake up and read these reviews. Total joke. Totally destroyed a terrific app--- which was featured by Apple in their keynote (before LinkedIn bought them of course). LinkedIn is a clueless crew Change the name to "Linked Out" or "Unlinked" "Broken Link". Linked in is a circus act
Great source for business news. Easy to use.
LinkedIn PLEASE LISTEN too us GIVE us back the old PULSE RSS Feed
I was a long time user of the old Pulse, several years. And a recent update made it basically worthless. I am going to stop using the app completely and shut down my LinkedIn account due to this, its ridiculous. They took a great app, that I used multiple times a day, and demolished it. If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. Now I use Feedly and it works just not as good as the old Pulse, but try it because it is good.
LinkedIn completely ruined the real Pulse app.
Pulse used to be the best news aggregator. LinkedIn relaunched the app last year and stopped updating feeds to the old versions. Unfortunately the new version is a completely different product. And not a great one. Old version: -Allowed users to add news from numerous primary sources, including blogs, across a wide range of topics -Displayed articles in easy to view tiles, so that many articles could be seen at once -Displayed news by publication, with a history of stories, so you could see ones from prior days/weeks -Allowed users to organize news by topics, pages, etc. -Essentially, the old app allowed the user to curate their own news, with great visual organization that allowed the user to quickly find and scan for articles of interest New version: -Is basically just the LinkedIn news feed -Is news-feed style, so you have to scroll to see articles one-by-one vs. being able to scan tiles -Does not allow you to easily find articles by a topic or publication; you have to scroll through all of them as LinkedIn feeds them to you -Allows only limited addition of news sources, most of which are topics curated by LinkedIn rather than primary news sources -Mostly feeds you articles that come from your LinkedIn profile, which is simultaneously limiting because it feeds you too many articles just from your industry and irrelevant because it feeds you articles from that one person you linked with at that networking event 10 years ago -Essentially, LinkedIn curates a feed for you and if youre interested in something else, youre out of luck Maybe some LinkedIn users find this interesting. For anyone who was a loyal user of the original Pulse, this is a 180 degree departure from that well-loved app - the only thing thats remained the same is the name. Instead of putting you in control, it puts LinkedIn in control. No thanks. Off to find a replacement....
This app used to be good before LinkedIn. Now I use Reddit for all my news.
I absolutely loved the old app and checked it several times a day--whats the deal?? Nothing dies harder than a bad idea...
Pulse use to be my #1 favorite app. This is coming from someone who buys/downloads about 10 apps a week since 2010. The original pulse was free but I gladly would have paid for it. LinkedIn has forever ruined their reputation with me for changing this app that I would never use. Ever. Why not allow the old one to keep going?
