LinkedIn Pulse: Daily News, Powered by Your Professional World App Reviews

Great source for news on the economy and on businesses

Highly recommended.

Great news

Great news to look at to see what is going on in the world. Companys looking for other ways to change or buy others out.

Downgrade the App

I was much more happy with the old app. This is just ok. I dont use apps that are just ok though.

Disappointing and not very useful

I used to use the old Pulse. You could choose the news streams and customize what you saw. This is no longer the case, as LinkedIn simply populates your feed with things they think you want to read. The trouble is that though I used to skim through the stories often, I rarely found anything applicable to me, my career or areas of professional interest. It has become almost completely useless and a waste of my time. Id only give it one star due to irrelevant and uninteresting content, but the overall design and layout bumps it to a two. There are far better news aggregators out there. Until LinkedIn allows personalization of topics and content, I suggest finding a different one, one that actually delivers relevant, useful stories.

Snackable, relevant news chunks make my day

Great app seems to intuitively know when I need a news summary and what I need to know about. Plenty of links to dive deeper into topics but the real value for me is the bite sized summaries so that I can get a birds eye view of business news periodically throughout the day.

Why???

This was literally one of my top three favorite apps. Could not understand why it was changed. Thougt something had gone horribly wrong... Where did my trusty rss feeds go? I gave it a try i really did. Entire categories are gone- where is fashion? Style? So many interesting sources are gone. Will probably delete in a bit but hoping this can perhaps be undone!!! Please bring back the old pulse. It was one of my go-to apps.

Great News App

I FIND IT HANDY

Fix

Please restore this app to what it was. I check once a month to see if its happened. New version is total trash.

This miserable piece of junk...

... is still being used, by whom? LinkedIn destroyed it, and theyre rewarded with billions. Crazy stupidity. The smartest business decision LinkedIn could make is to fire the people responsible, declare bankruptcy, never enter the business world again, and then they will have made things right with the long-time users they have abandoned with such asinine decisions.

Used to be so good

Great app completely ruined by removing all functionality that users loved.

Why destroy a good thing?

I just got a new phone and had to upgrade my Pulse app and it was quite a shock to realize that all of the blogs etc I had been following are now gone and all I get are boring industry news stories :( What a waste!

Terrible

Old Pulse = tell us what you like and we will show you! New Pulse = spend a lot of time individually assessing and rating stories that well hamfist together for you based exclusively on your work industry. Terrible

I really miss the old Pulse

Bring original Pulse back!

Worthless app now

Something useful is now useless.

Killed the old app AND our links?

So not only did they buy a perfectly good app and ruin everything unique about it but they also shut off the web site and with it our ability to access or export our saved stories? Seriously not cool. I dont remember any kind of warning this would happen. I thought maybe something was broken for a while when the channels stopped updating with new stories. This is how trust is lost.

Was my favorite. Deleting it now.

I loved the scrolling tiles. Now its just like every other news app. Boo.

Ugh Dang it!

I genuinely miss the old Pulse. It helped pass the time with interesting content to read!

Worse with each update.

I cant believe LinkedIn would change the app this much. Especially with how far its rank has fallen. I will make sure I are negative feedback until the changes are repaired.

New version is garbage

Bring back the old UI! Im deleting this app. Why did you have to change what was already the best? Dont fix it if it aint broken!

Great app for news!

I scroll the Pulse more than my Facebook or Twitter feeds now. Highly recommended for learning industry tips and news.
