Wow, talk about a complete 180. This update has rendered the app useless and completely out of scope for what it was originally designed for. Deleted.
My daily news feed source ruined. I have switched to Canada Press app to get news feed similar to what Pulse formerly offered.
I Had been using this app for years, all of a sudden it stopped working, articles wasnt updating. So I delete it, download it again and I am presented with a new UI, tried to really use it but it is just a piece of garbage. The whole reason this became my main news app was because I could view many quick articles at a glance without having to flip through them one by one. The design team of this new UI should all be completely fired. I have now deleted this app for good and will no longer use it. Time to find another one that is simplistic as the old UI.
I used this app for years and recommended it to many people. I have deleted from my phone, really disappointing. Give customers option to use old version
This app is completely useless now, worse update ever! Time to find an alternative news reader
This app used to be incredible, an outstanding 5-star. Could follow any RSS feed, read whatever articles you want displayed to you by the handful in a convenient horizontal view. It was leaps and bounds better than other readers. Now? None of the above, quite possibly the polar opposite. Forced into following only certain companies or people (most of which arent relevant to what I needed the app for) in a terrible layout with absolutely 0 customization options. Whoever was in charge of this drastic and terrible change needs to be fired. When looking upon the other reviews left here, it seems Im not the only one with this opinion. This app (now) doesnt even deserve the 1-star Im forced into giving it just to write this review.
R.I.P. To my favourite news reader
They just ruined a completely great app. Will be moving on.
Dont mess with things that arent broken LinkedIn. You took a great app and COMPLETELY effed it up!
It used to be quick to skim bad news from good ones, now we must endure another infinite scroll of bad stuff.
Now that the original version of Pulse no longer receives content updates, Im moving on to a reader that functions the way I actually want, not the way it *thinks* I want it to work. Check out Flipboard, Ive been using it for a couple days and Im pretty happy with it so far.
This was the best newsreader for years...absolute garbage now. Im not sure what the reasoning behind this was, but the first clue to LinkedIn should be the mass exodus of its users. Good bye pulse you will be missed.
DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! The old one was one of the best and LinkedIn killed it! GOOD JOB! Dont fix something that aint broken!
New version = rubbish. Old one from 2 years ago was truly great, I really miss it :( shame on you LinkedIn for destroying Pulse... Please spin it off and get a job!!!
New format is just a copy of flipboard and LinkedIn should be sued for stealing the design. Old Interface was light years ahead of its time and allowed the ability to download for offline reading which is important for a lot of users.
Move along. This is not the Pulse News app you were looking for. They really shot the bed with this new app.
I was wondering why my feed werent updating anymore, i tried to reinstall and now it forces you to create a linkedn account. Thanks for ruining a great app. App Store wont accept 0 stars
After a few great years this App should be put down. Its brutal now. Sorry but its shameful whats been Donets it. If you would like a great replacement try ByLine, free App. You can load all the same feeds. Even has landscape mode on the iPhone. Imagine that...and pinch to zoom text. Try it.
Good app acquired by and destroyed by LinkedIn. Theres a good fit for media consumption and LinkedIn--sadly, zero insight apparent on how this should happen based on the deterioration of this app. A few apps Hoang Pham are weak alternatives but worth a look.
